グラミー賞受賞者（速報）
第47回グラミー賞授賞式が13日(日曜）（日本時間、14日午前10時から）、ロス・アンジェルスのステイプルズ・センターで行われた。アッシャー、ジェームス・ブラウン、ジョス・ストーン、ボニー・レイット、スティーヴィー・ワンダーなど多数のアーティストがライヴ・パフォーマンスを見せた。パフォーマンスの中では、ジャニス・ジョプリンにトリビュートしたジョス・ストーン、ボニー・レイットのものが素晴らしかった。また、ジェイミー・フォックスのレイ・チャールズの「ジョージア・オン・マイ・マインド」もスタンディング・オヴェーションを得た。
レイ・チャールズ関連は、ノミネート10のうち、1部門（「ベスト・トラディショナルR&Bヴォーカル・パフォーマンス」）を除いて、主要2部門を含め、すべて獲得。1部門は、プリンスに敗れた。レイ・チャールズとして5部門、関連（受賞者はエンジニア）で3部門計8部門獲得という大量受賞となった。カニエは3部門、アッシャーは3部門、アリシア4部門、グリーン・デイは1部門となった。グリーン・デイは、2部門でU2に敗れた。
また筆者の予想結果は、46部門の予想で、本命で26部門的中（.565）、対抗で7部門（.152）、計33部門で、7割1分7厘。本命で4割、対抗を含めて6割を超えた。
主要4部門のうち、アルバム、レコードは結局、予想通りレイ・チャールズへ。しかし、ソング部門は、ダークホース的なジョン・メイヤーに行った。
また、過去12回のノミネートがことごとく却下されてきたロッド・スチュワートはついに13回目にして、初グラミーを獲得した。部門は「ベスト・トラディショナル・ポップ・ヴォーカル・アルバム」。対象はアルバム『グレイト・アメリカン・ソング・ブック・ヴォリューム3』。
